What’s the hurry
Sunari ?
“Time waits for no one”
no doubt  you’ve been told,
and now that you’re fifteen years old,
may I make so bold
as to offer some gratuitous advice ?
Don’t at any price
join the rat race,
or try to keep pace
with the three blind mice.
See how they run !
It’s no fun
to get ahead of everyone
and wind up,
wound up
dead.

Instead,
Play it cool.
Loll if you can
In your papa’s swimming pool.
And then, healthily tired
and inspired
by a long drawn
yawn,
head
for bed
and just fade away
till tomorrow’s dawn.
